A simple estimation method of grid‐forming inverter inertia based on rate of change of frequency

In order to quantify the support ability of the grid-forming inverter to the grid voltage and frequency, this paper studies the active power control block diagram based on the analysis of the support effect of inertia and damping on the active power of the system when the frequency changes. Taking the grid frequency as the input and the active power as the output, a method for identifying the inertia and damping of the grid-forming inverter based on rate of change of frequency is proposed.
