Real‐time monitoring and ageing detection algorithm design with application on SiC‐based automotive power drive system

Electro-thermal real-time modeling of an electric drive for new generation electric vehicles. The real-time model is validated against experimental measurements obtained during a WLTP cycle. Real-time modeling makes it possible to develop and validate with a PIL approach an algorithm for monitoring the aging effects of the active components of the electric drive inverter. The monitoring algorithm integrated on the dedicated embedded system is based on an artificial neural network capable of estimating the Ron of the active components of the inverter.
